OUR BRANDING

Created by founder Alyssa Tran in July, 2018, Rave After Rave operates on the principle that everybody should be able to find something that helps them express themselves in a way that allows them to feel, do, and be whomever they want to be. By offering a wide variety of styles and prints to choose from, we hope to offer something for everyone.

When it comes to the musical festival scene, we know that uniqueness is abundant and that every individual within the scene is special and unique in themselves. Because of this, we hold strongly to the belief that our products should reflect the variety of people wearing Rave After Rave. This approach sets us apart from other festival clothing companies as we incorporate a visual influence of the rave community throughout our entire brand in order to give life to our products, just like our customers do. Deep consideration goes into each fabric print, style cut, and even product name offered in our shop because we understand and value the depth that our customers put into our clothing as a form of self expression.

HOW RAVE AFTER RAVE WAS FOUNDED

“I honestly would’ve never thought I would be doing what I’m doing! I mean, I’ve always been super crafty and was interested in creating apparel for certain shows and events. In high school my friend Shaylin and I started our own tie dying shirt business, I made my own rave bras, and I dabbled in vinyl heat transfer apparel so I’ve always had an interest in the craft and the scene. Rave after rave, festival after festival, my love for festival fashion and how its changed over the years grew and developed stronger over time. After buying a ticket for a show or festival I would instantly become so excited to start shopping for clothes. It was quite difficult for me to find what I wanted most of the time because (1) I’m very petite so it’s hard to find clothes that fit me and (2) it was sometimes a struggle to find exactly what I was looking for. I always had an interest in trying to “match” the theme or the vibe of the show/festival. For example, if I’m seeing Illenium I’d probably want to wear something orange and flowy, but if I’m seeing Excision I’d probably want to wear something dark... or dress up as a dinosaur.

One day, I finally decided to buy a sewing machine and taught myself how to make my own outfits. My sister saw some of the clothing pieces I made and said, “you should start selling these” and that’s how I got the idea. A few weeks later, I created Rave After Rave and opened up my online shop. As my business started to grow, I decided to fully immerse myself and take on my business full time! I can't say that it's been "easy" running a business alone but I want people to know that with a lot of passion and a little fire in your soul, you can absolutely do anything you put your mind to. I love my job because discovering new fabric prints and creating new clothing styles genuinely excites me. It's fascinating that I am able to create things with my own two hands that make other people feel so confident and comfortable in their own skin. I’m proud that my unique branding is tailored to the rave scene, which is why I started to make rave wear to begin with and I am so excited to be able to share my love and joy with my customers!
